Pinup Comic Store began in 1981 as a small mail-order business, delivering comics, graphic novels, and collectible supplies to fans. After six successful years of mail-order service and participating in comic marts, we proudly opened our storefront in Camden Town in 1987.
Our mission has always been to offer one of the widest selections of comics and graphic novels in the UK, complemented by our friendly, knowledgeable team, dedicated to making every visit memorable.
Throughout the years, we’ve hosted signings and events with iconic creators like Alan Moore, Jamie Hewlett, Pat Mills, Simon Bisley, Brian Bolland, Gilbert Shelton, Craig Thompson, and Matt Wagner. In 2010, we were thrilled to receive the KING OF CAMDEN award for excellence in local retail, recognizing our commitment to the community.

Collections bought
At Pinup Comic Store, we’re always on the lookout for comics to add to our inventory. We’re especially interested in older comics from the 1960s and 1970s, but we’ll also consider other collections featuring mainstream, long-running superhero titles such as Spider-Man, Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, and Batman. We primarily buy in bulk, so there’s no need to create an exhaustive list. Just send us a quick overview of what you have (e.g., “50 Hulk issues from the 1980s, #200-300” or “100 Spider-Man comics”).
Our focus is on collections of at least 1,000 items or more, with no upper limit—last year alone, we purchased over 50,000 comics! Smaller collections of just a few dozen or even a few hundred comics are generally not of interest unless they include something exceptionally rare or vintage (pre-1960s).
If your collection fits what we’re looking for, we’ll buy the entire lot and make an immediate payment via bank transfer. Please note that we don’t pay cash in hand.
